Election Monitoring: Incriminating documents found in Kano

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, yesterday came in possession of some incriminating documents suggesting heavy voter inducement in Kano.


The documents were obtained from a suspect who escaped arrest in Zaitawa ward in Kano metropolis.

The suspect took to his heels when he noticed the operatives of the commission coming his way.

He ran away leaving documents containing names of supposed members of a political party and voters. The documents contained names and phone numbers of people who collected the sum of N50,000 ( Fifty Thousand Naira Only) while another break down showed that other people who are allegedly believed to be voters collected different sums of money.
