Ngige kicks as Buhari loses in four LGA in Anambra

Chris Ngige

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, has rejected last Saturday’s presidential election results released in four Local Government Areas in Anambra State by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Anambra State has 21 Local Government Areas.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar was leading in the four LGA results announced by INEC.

The LGAs were, Anaocha,Dunukofia, Anambra West and Njikoka.

Ngige who was the APC agent in the election said the results announced by the collation officer, Prof Edmund Egbo, did not tally with what was collated in the polling units and wards of the Local Government Areas.

He said,” This is a clear case of over voting, and my party will not accept it. We know that you (INEC) are working to beat time, especially because of the number of presidential candidates involved, but the right thing would have been to start by announcing the results from the field before that of the entire local government,” Ngige said.
