Minister alleges election malpractices in Obudu, Boki, Yakurr LGAs

Pastor Usani Usani

The Minister for Niger Delta Affairs and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Pastor Usani Usani, has decried alleged election malpractices in Obudu, Boki and Yakurr LGAs in Cross River State.

He expressed his displeasure while speaking with journalists in Calabar on Sunday concerning the presidential and National Assembly elections.

He said he watched a video of how some people tried to disrupt the election in Obudu LGA when they saw that APC was winning; while in Boki he said he got a phone call that there were no result sheets.

“There were no result sheets in the entire Boki. So the soldiers there said in that case all the activities should be put on hold until the result sheets were brought,” he alleged.

Usani also alleged that from Yakurr LG, “I got a report that they were writing results at the local government headquarters.”

He said in all these cases, he expected the relevant authorities to take necessary steps to address them.
