Masked men whisk away Atiku’s spokesman Buba Galadima

Buba Galadima

Spokesman for the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Organisation, Buba Galadima, has  been arrested by four masked men suspected to be from the Department of State Services.

It was learnt that  Galadima, who has been critical of the Muhammadu Buhari government,  was arrested in the Wuse 2 area of Abuja shortly after leaving his home by the men  who alighted from a grey Honda with tinted windows.

A top source said, “He was arrested around 4pm shortly after leaving his home in company with his driver, Yayale. He had earlier seen four men loitering around his house and he challenged them but the men walked away.

“But he felt uncomfortable and decided to leave the house. But his vehicle was blocked by the men wearing  masks who took him away.”

Galadima’s arrest occurred minutes after spokesman for  the President Muhammadu Buhari’s Campaign Organisation, Festus Keyamo (SAN), accused him of planning to announce fake election results and cause crisis.

Keyamo had called on the security agencies to arrest Galadima who is in his 70s.

In a video posted on social media, Galadima had announced that the Peoples Democratic Party was leading the presidential poll in many parts of  the country.

He added that the “fascist” regime of President Buhari was about to end.
