Buhari wins in former Bauchi gov, Yuguda’s wards

The All Progressives Congress won at Gindim Durumi polling unit of Bauchi Governor, Muhammad Abubakar, in Bauchi.


The APC presidential candidate polled 628 against PDP 93.

The ward which witnessed 767 accredited voters of the 1,491 registered voters, however, pulled a surprise with the PRP scoring 467 in the House of Representatives against the APC 287 and PDP 171.

For the Senate, APC scored 287, PDP 191 and PRP 241.

However, there were cases of failed card readers witnessed in the election with officials resorting to manual accreditation upon confirmation of Permanent Voter Cards.

As late as 8pm in the night some young children took to the streets celebrating the anticipated success of Buhari in the election.


The children who are between the ages of seven and 18 were chanting “Who do you want?” with others replying, “Buhari.

It was observed that the election was peaceful and successful with no record of violence so far.

The men of the Rapid Response Squad led by their commander were parading the streets of Bauchi in a show of strength.

At Babasidi Primary School which is the polling unit of former Governor Isa Yuguda, the APC won the presidential election, polling 613 against PDP’s 87.

The results of that of the Senate and House of Representatives were still being collated as of press time.
