Buhari wins Ekiti with 219,231 votes

The collation of presidential election results kicked off on Monday at the National Collation Centre, Abuja, with Ekiti State votes.


The State Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan, Prof. Idiwu Olayinka, who read out the results from the state said out of the 395, 741 accredited to vote, APC scored 219, 231 against PDP who scored 154,034 votes.

The total number of valid votes according to him stand at 381,132, while 12,577 were rejected bases on multiple thumbprinting.

Total vote cast, he said, is 393,709.

The party agents are expected to inspect the results sheets signed at the state collation office. Ekiti state is the only state without a Resident Electoral Commissioner.
