Ibori’s brother to be interred on November 2

Chief William Boyi Ibori, elder brother to Chief James Onanefe Ibori, ex-governor of Delta State (1999 to 2007), will be buried on Friday, November 2.


A statement by Tony Eluemunor, the ex-governor’s Media Assistant, said the family of William announced the date through Mr. Kingsley Ibori and Simeon Nanah.

William, the patriarch of the Ibori family of Oghara in Ethiope West Local Government, died on Wednesday July 11 of heart attack.

He was 76.

The Unugbrogodo of Ogharefe, he is survived by Elizabeth and Omoteseri Sirian (wives), and nine children: Kingsley, Crown, Ejiro, Enajite, Ovie, Anne, Evuarherhe, Tuwere, and Fabian, as well as 18 grandchildren.

His funeral service will hold on Friday, November 2, at Oghara stadium.
