Hoodlums vandalise The Nation’s distribution van

The Nation newspaper distribution van was attacked on Friday by hoodlums suspected to be members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The rear windscreen of the van was smashed. The incident happened at Obigbo near Port Harcourt in the early hours of Friday.

The van was on its way to Enugu and Abia states when it bumped into arms wielding hoodlums.

According to the driver, Barnabas Okere: “I suddenly ran into them. I cannot say whether they are IPOB members or armed robbers. But they were all armed with guns and dangerous weapons. Other vehicles were also attacked and many set ablaze. I managed to manoeuvre my way out of danger and sped off. “
