Keep your father’s legacies alive, president Buhari advises Rabiu family

President Muhammadu Buhari has tasked the children of the late Islamic scholar and businessman, Sheikh Isyaku Rabiu, to build on the cherished legacies of gentlemanliness and friendliness of their father.

President Buhari was represented by Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, at the burial of the late Isyaku Rabiu on Friday in Kano.

Extolling the towering virtues of the late Sheikh, the President challenged his children to build on his laudable legacies and if they can surpass them.

“Your father lived a life worthy of emulation,” the President said.

The Federal Government delegation included the National Security Adviser, Maj-General Babagana Munguno (Rtd), the Minister of Water Resources, Engr. Sulaiman Adamu, the Ministers of State for Aviation and Environment, Senator Hadi Sirika and Ibrahim Usman Jibril.

Others were the Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris and Senior Special Assistant to the President, Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

Responding on behalf of the family members and followers of the late religious leader, his son and Chairman of the BUA Group of Companies, Abdulsamad Isyaku Rabi’u thanked the President for personally calling on the phone and thereafter, sending a befitting delegation to condole with the family.

Prayers were said for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for the wellbeing of the President and the nation.
