Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is expected to meet with the Chief Executive of the Global Alliance for Vaccine and Immunization (GAVI), Dr. Seth Berkley, next week.
Berkley is expected in the country March 5 as the head of high Power GAVI delegation to the country.
This will be the GAVI chief’s second visit to Nigeria in nine months as he was also in the country in June last year.
GAVI is the largest global platform, mobilizing human, financial and logistics support and resources for vaccine-preventable diseases.
Addressing the top management team of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHDA) in preparation for the visit, the Executive Director agency, Dr. Faisal Shuaib, said the GAVI delegation would meet Osibanjo, the leadership of the National Assembly, some state governors and the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole.
