Accept your postings in good fate Coordinator urge Corpers

Members of the 2017 Batch ‘B’ National Youth Service Corps have been advised to accept their posting to rural areas in good fate.

The Niger state NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Theresa Ibukun Arokoyo gave this advise yesterday at the closing ceremony of the 2017 Batch ‘B’ Orientation Course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Paikoro local government area of Niger state.

According to her, the services of the Corps members are mostly needed in the rural areas encouraging them not to seek redeployment from where they are being posted to.

“Rejection of posting is a natural thing. Everybody want to be posted to urban areas and cities but everybody cannot be in Minna or Suleja.

“We have made them understand that they are more warmly accepted in the rural areas which is where NYSC and the federal government want them to be, that is where their services are more needed. ”

“We are making appeal that the Corps members sent to places of their assignments are well utilized. Not all organizations that have corpers properly utilize them. That is why we are making this appeal. ”

In his address, the Niger state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Ketso assured the state Coordinator that government is putting in place necessary logistics for effective and efficient utilization of corps members.
