A truck on sunday crushed a nursing mother and injured two others at Orile – lmo village stretch of the Abeokuta – Siun interchange expressway, Ogun State.
The truck marked PKP 464 XA crushed the woman and injured two others while they were crossing the highway around 9:15am.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State traffic agency – TRACE, Babatunde Akinbiyi, the woman died on the spot while the driver of the truck bolted away.
“Reckless driving accounted for the accident. The truck ran over the woman while attempting to cross the road to the other side of road.
“The remains of the woman have been handed over to family,” Akinbiyi said.
