Human traffickers were caught while crossing into the United States, after their vehicle rolled over on a highway, according to police Arizona.
Willcox Border Patrol agents witnessed the rollover accident on Wednesday morning on Interstate 10 near mile post 322.
While providing aid, they discovered that the vehicle was involved in smuggling humans. Agents were traveling west on I-10 when they observed a dust cloud and noticed a white pickup truck upside down.
The agents turned around to provide immediate aid and called for additional assistance from both Border Patrol and emergency medical technicians.
Once on scene, agents found seven individuals had been traveling in the truck.
While rendering aid, agents learned that five of the occupants were Mexican nationals illegally present in the United States, and two were United States citizens.
Medical personnel assessed the five Mexican nationals on the scene, but only one required further evaluation at a hospital.
The two U.S. citizens asked to be taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
Agents seized the truck and arrested the Mexican nationals, who will be processed in accordance with Tucson Sector guidelines.
The two U.S. citizens face a charge of smuggling.
