Dare devil armed robbers kill two policemen in Abuja

Two police men were at the weekend killed during a fierce gun battle with some dare devil armed robbers in Abuja. The FCT police command have launched a manhunt to track down the robbers who escaped the scene of the incident with varying degree of gun wound.

The FCT commissioner of police Musa kimowho disclosed this when he visited the scene of the incident at tunga maje said that no stone will be left unturned to track down the assailants.

During the raid of criminal hideout, the CP said that three armed robbery suspects were arrested while 2 locally made pistols, 2 live catradges, one toy gun were recovered by vigilant police operatives attached to Apo division who intercepted the suspects.

CP kimo said that while responding to a distress call arrested the suspect whom he gave their names as Abdullahi Usman, Hassan Umar and Isah Kassim.

He said that operatives attached to Buhari division acting on a tip off raided a suspected criminal hideout at garam were one suspect was arrested, 2 locally made pistols and other exhibits were recovered.

According to him, efforts were being intensified to arrest the principal suspects who is now at large.

The CP warned criminals hibernating around the federal capital territory to either repent and hand over there weapons or be prepared for a hard time as the command has deployed adequate security measures to decimate or suffocate them out of circulation.
