Two women who were employed at a Waffle House restaurant in Alabama, began fighting and pulling each other’s hair because neither of them wanted to wash the dirty dishes, according to a video that was uploaded to the Internet.
The incident unfolded on Sunday, at the Opelika Road Waffle House location in Auburn, according to witness Robert Payne.
Payne said that he and his wife were ordering food when the women began arguing about whose turn it was to wash the dirty dishes.
The fight quickly turned violent, with the black employee pulling the white employee’s blonde hair. Payne said that he thought about stopping the fight, but his wife warned him that the women might have knives.
After several minutes of hair pulling, the black woman pulled a meat cleaver and began hitting the white woman. The women pushed each other around, causing glass dishes to break.
Eventually, the two fighting employees ended up on the ground, with the black woman on top of the white woman.
The women pulled each other’s hair and yelled obscenities before the black woman got up and walked away just as police arrived at the scene.
There were about 15 customers who witnessed the fight, but no one intervened. No arrests were made. The video of the fight was uploaded to Facebook, where it went viral.
