Fire erupts in hospital in central Istanbul

A fire erupted in Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Train and Research Hospital located in central of Istanbul on Jan. 14, Doğan News Agency has reported.

Fire crews arrived to the scene and extinguished to fire.

Turkish broadcaster CNN Türk announced that patients were evacuated. There was no casualties according to the initial reports.

Fire reportedly broke due to malfunction in a generator in gynaecology and newborn unit.

An official of the hospital said that fire was under control, stating that condition of children in unit were stabile.
