Woman stalks former boyfriend by calling him more than 16,000 times

A woman was arrested on a charge of stalking after allegedly calling her former boyfriend thousands of times, according to police in Japan.

Saga police said that they have arrested 37-year-old Miki Eguchi, after being accused of calling her 30-year-old former boyfriend, who was not identified, at least 16,300 times.

According to the criminal complaint, Eguchi and the victim were in a relationship for two years. The couple then broke up.

Eguchi became angry that the victim refused to marry her. She then began calling him many times. The victim warned her not to harass him, but she ignored him.

Over a period of several months, Eguchi called the victim 16,300 times and sent him dozens of emails. When questioned, Eguchi said that her former boyfriend has the responsibility of marrying her.
