Voters in the United Kingdom, were shocked to receive letters, which directed them to visit a porn website.
The Mid Suffolk District Council apologized to voters who received the letters, saying that the error was a technical slip up.
About 80 people received the voter registration letter, which asked to confirm addresses and to check who is still eligible to vote.
On the bottom of the letter, it asked voters to visit a website, where they will be able to confirm their addresses, but instead, they were redirected to a porn website.
The porn website’s URL began with the letters xxx.
A spokesperson for the council said that an apology letter will be hand delivered to all those who received the voter registration letter.
