Kanye West gets rid of cell phone so he can ‘have air to create’

The infamously outspoken Kanye West is going radio silent.

The serial ranter said he’s getting off the mobile grid so he can be more productive.

“I got rid of my phone so I can have air to create,” West tweeted on Wednesday.

It shouldn’t be too much of a struggle for the 39-year-old musician, who aside from Twitter, doesn’t have distracting social media accounts like Instagram or Snapchat. And, shockingly, he supposedly lived without a smartphone up until 2011.

Ironically, the very medium is what brought him together with wife Kim Kardashian. The 39-year-old revealed earlier this year that he purchased a phone just to deter the selfie queen from marrying NBA star Kris Humphries.

“I started sending her pictures of certain basketball players that used to be cool … Like, ‘This is your future!’ he said on an episode of “Kocktails with Khloe” in April.

The 39-year-old recently used his digits to flip the bird while performing his hit “Runaway” at Harper’s Bazaar’s annual Icons Ball last week at the Plaza Hotel.

West appeared to be lashing out at fashion media heavyweights in the crowd after many dubbed his “Yeezy Season 4” fashion show a complete disaster.
