People in Rome are outraged after three young women undress and swim in 400-year-old water fountain

People are calling on police to arrest three women who were seen undressing and swimming in a 400-year-old fountain in Italy.

Residents in Rome, are fuming after photos of the three tourist swimming
in the Fontana dell’Acqua Paola, which dates back to 1612, were
uploaded on Twitter.

The incident unfolded on Friday.

According to witnesses at the scene, the three women stripped naked, put
on tiny bikinis and jumped into the fountain on Friday, as the
temperature soared to more than 90 degrees.

The three women face a fine of 200 euros ($220) for entering the fountain and a charge of indecent exposure.

Some of the witnesses at the scene took photos of the women and uploaded them on Twitter, where they went viral.
