PENGASSAN goes ahead with its strike action

The leadership of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association
of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, says they are going ahead with their strike
action and that the strike took effect yesterday July 7th

Speaking on Channels TV news, the general secretary of PENGASSAN,
Lumumba Okugbawa, said the strike is to draw the attention of the
federal government to issues bordering the oil sector;

“This strike action is to attract the attention of the government to a
round table discussion. We know the impact it will have on people but
painful pills cure better than sweet pills. The strike has started”he
said
