A man of Illinois, suffered injuries to his head after being beaten by his grandson.
Caseyville police arrested a man for hitting his 78-year-old grandfather
with his own cane for eating the last slice of pizza that was in the
refrigerator.
Officers were called to the 300 block of Bethel Mine Road, for a
disturbance. When the officers arrived, they found the grandfather with
non-life threatening head injuries.
The grandson, 27-year-old Charles J. Trione, had already fled the scene.
He was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault and domestic
battery.
Trione was booked into the St. Clair County jail, and bail was set at $75,000.
