The friend of a groom was arrested on a charge of theft after allegedly
stealing Porsche so that the bride could be brought to the wedding
ceremony in a luxury car, according to police in China.
Yibin police said that they have arrested the man, who was not
identified, as the groom arrived with the Porsche at the brideโs home.
Police seized the car, and the suspect was charged with count of theft.
According to the police investigation, the man stole the Porsche from a
woman the day before his friendโs wedding.
He then drove 185 miles to hand over the car to the groom. The groom was
surprised to see this friend in the Porsche. He was given the car, and
he went to pick up the bride from her house.
However, to their surprise, the police were waiting at the brideโs home.
During questioning, the suspect told police that he stole the Porsche in
order to make his friendโs wedding ceremony more exciting.
