Fire outbreak at an orphanage in South Africa kills seven

Seven people, mostly children, were killed in a fire outbreak at an
orphanage in Durban, South Africa today July 14th. The cause of the fire
is yet to be ascertained. The ages of those killed range from four
years to twenty-one years.

Spokesperson of South Africa’s Emergency Service EMS, Robert McKenzie,
said that they received a call about the fire at around 2.20am.

“Tragically seven people were killed, among them several children.
Reports from the scene is that much of the building has been destroyed.”
he said
