Demba Ba suffered a horrific leg break during Shanghai Shenhua’s 2-1 win
over bitter rivals Shanghai SPIG in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.

former West Ham, Newcastle and Chelsea striker collapsed to the ground
in pain after slipping over in a challenge with Shanghai SIPG’s Sun
Xiang in the second half.
Xiang was trying to recover the ball
and accidently caught the left leg of Ba, 31, who suffered the ugly
injury while his foot was planted on the turf.
Ba has been been on top of his game since moving to Chinese football from Besiktas
in 2015, scoring 14 goals in 18 Super League appearances for Shanghai
Shenhua in 2016 to lead the league’s scoring charts.
