28-year-old driver slams car into tree while playing Pokemon Go

 

A man was rushed to a hospital after crashing his car into a tree while
playing Pokemon Go on his phone while driving, according to police in
New York.

The Auburn Police Department said that 28-year-old Steven Cary, suffered
a broken ankle and cuts after slamming his brother’s car into a tree
while he was busy catching Pokemon.

Cary admitted to playing Pokemon Go while driving, causing him to be
distracted and run off the road on Tuesday around 10:45 p.m.

Cary does not know if he caught the Pokemon as his phone was lost in the smashed car.

Cary’s younger brother launched a GoFundMe campaign in order to raise
$30,000 to recoup the losses he suffered as a result of the smashed car.

So far, he has raised $270.
