The paramount ruler of the Tiv tribe in Benue State who is also the Tor Tiv, Dr Alfred Akawe Torkula, has died. Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom, confirmed the death of the first class ruler to newsmen this morning. The late traditional ruler died of an undisclosed ailment at a private hospital in Benue state. He was 71 years old. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
