Ronaldo breaks Raul’s all-time goalscoring record for Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo has usurped Raul as Real Madrid’s all-time leading goalscorer after scoring against Levante on Saturday afternoon.
The most remarkable thing about Ronaldo’s achievement is that he surprassed Raul’s tally in just 310 appearances in all competitions.

Ex-Spain international Raul played 741 times for Real over the course of a 16-year period between 1994 and 2010.

Ronaldo joined Madrid from Manchester United in 2009 for a then world-record fee of €94 million (£80m).
