Some dignitaries were injured at the North Central rally of the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria in Minna, Niger State on Saturday following the collapse of the podium they were on.
Dignitaries on the podium included the Niger State governor and his wife, Secretary to the Federal Government, ministers, Senators and other political chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP).
Senator-elect, Dr Shem Zagbayi Nuhu, Director of Protocol to Governor Babangida, Capt. Musa Baro, Director General Public Affairs, Tanko Dada and a reporter with the NTA, Minna, Dauda Mohammed were among those who were injured.
Some of the victims were rushed to Bay Clinic, Tunga and General Hospital, Minna.
Those who escaped unhurt were later moved to another podium.
