Ebola Virus:Disease Contained In Nigeria, Senegal – WHO

The current Ebola outbreak is the deadliest ever recorded as it has now claimed 2,811 lives, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

However, the organization added that the outbreak has basically been contained in Senegal and Nigeria.

Nigeria recorded 20 infections and 8 deaths including index case, Patrick Sawyer but there has been no new reported case since September 8.

Senegal, on the other hand, has registered only one case, a Guinean student who is now Ebola-free.

The also announced the new statistics for the disease outbreak in West Africa stating that a total of 5,864 people had contracted the disease while 2,811 had died.
