In Famagusta, Northern Cyprus, a Nigerian university student Kennedy Taomwabwa Dede, who was 28 years old was beaten and kidnapped by 8 people and then taken to the Dardanelles Pond where he was killed.

An autopsy report showed Kennedy died from a number of blows resulting in cerebral haemorrhage and lung damage, according to Famagusta hospital.
