President of the Assembly of the Republic Töre noted that they are happy to commemorate with great pride the 951th anniversary of the 26 August Manzikert Victory and the 100th anniversary of the Great Offensive.
President of the Assembly of the Republic Zorlu Töre published a message on the 951th anniversary of the Manzikert Victory and the 100th anniversary of the Great Offensive.
In his message of honor, he noted that while Turkey continues its march towards its goals with a thousand years of civilization accumulation, it is advancing in great solidarity with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Töre also stated that thanks to the determined stance of the homeland of Turkey, the Turkish Cypriot people protect their rights in the Eastern Mediterranean with the steps taken in line with their national interests.
Töre’ included the following statements in his message:
“With the Battle of Manzikert on August 26, 1071, Sultan Alparslan and his comrades opened the doors of Anatolia to the Turkish nation with their superior courage and heroism.
With the Manzikert Victory, justice, tolerance, science and wisdom came to the Anatolian lands, which we conquered with sword and faith, and were instrumental in laying the foundations of a great civilization.
The Turkish nation was tried to be expelled from Anatolia, but the enemy occupation was ended with the Great Offensive, which took place under the Commander-in-Chief of the Great Leader Atatürk on August 26, 1922.
As a result of the War of Independence, which was won with the spirit of 1071, the Motherland Republic of Turkey was established.
While Turkey continues its march towards its goals with its thousand years of civilization accumulation, it is advancing in great solidarity with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Thanks to the determined stance of the motherland, we protect our rights in the Eastern Mediterranean with the steps taken in line with the national interests of the Turkish Cypriot people.
We are happy to commemorate with great pride the 951th anniversary of the 26 August Manzikert Victory and the 100th anniversary of the Great Offensive, which opened the doors of a new era in the history of the great Turkish nation in August, our month of victory, and brought a new homeland and a new future.”
