The suspect YS, who was arrested in connection with the drug issue in the junction operation, was brought before the court.

The police stated that during the Junction 2 operation carried out by the Narcotics team on 22 August, YS was involved in the crime of buying, giving and disposing of illegal drugs, cocaine and cannabis.

The police said that the suspect’s vehicle was seen as suspicious on the Nicosia-Gaziköy main road and that a traffic accident occurred during the operation.

Police stated that 150 Euros and 3 thousand TL were taken as evidence with 50 grams of cocaine in the back seat of the suspect’s vehicle and the narcotic substance believed to be 40 grams of cannabis.

The police stated that the suspect was taken to the hospital with the 112 Emergency Service for control purposes and was discharged on the same day.

The police said that, upon the suspect’s confession that he had put some drugs in the empty room in the courtyard of his residence, a search made between 18.00 and 19.00 in his residence in Vadili found 95 grams of cannabis in two separate bags and a drug believed to be a type of cocaine, which was believed to be 8 grams in total. .

Police stated that the suspect confessed that he had imported the subject matter through H.Ç., who was detained in Famagusta on the day of the incident and will be brought to court.

The police demanded that the suspect be detained for 3 days, saying that the matter is serious and that there are wanted persons and persons to be investigated.

Evaluating the testimony given in his presence, Judge Hazal Hacımulla ordered the suspect to be detained for 3 days so that the investigation could be conducted safely.
