On Saturday, August 20, at 05.30 am, 30-year-old Salih, a resident in Güzelyurt, was under the influence of 141 ml of ethyl alcohol, with a rental car with license plate ZRD 012, which is in the middle of two lanes on a double-lane road within 0-1 kilometers of the Nicosia – Kyrenia main road.

The police arrived at the scene of the accident with an ambulance and was taken to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital Nicosia. He was taken under observation in the Neurology Service following the first aid treatment he received in the emergency room.

The police stated that while the rental car was rented on behalf of Tolga Öztoycan, the resident of Güzelyurt, Salih Yiğit, who used the vehicle, was not named in the contract and was out of the insurance coverage.
The police demanded that the suspect be placed on security that the court deems appropriate.
Evaluating the testimony given in his presence, Judge Hazal Hacımulla ordered the suspect to be tried pending trial, on the condition that he be banned from going abroad, appear in the body of proof once a week, deposit 15 thousand TL in cash, and two credible TRNC citizen guarantors sign a bond of 150 thousand TL each. .
