Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has given his approval for new appointments within the state’s civil service. Lalla Aluyi has been named Chairman of the Edo State Civil Service Commission, while two new Permanent Secretaries have been appointed to the Edo State Public Service.
The announcement was made through two statements from the Edo State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa.
Regarding the Civil Service Commission, Okungbowa stated: “We are pleased to inform the public that Governor Godwin Obaseki has approved the following appointments to the Edo State Civil Service Commission: Lalla Aluyi as Chairman, with Ehi Obaseki, Gilbert Adegboyega, Julie Olatunji, and Margaret Ohiowele serving as members. These appointments are pending confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.”
On the Permanent Secretaries, Okungbowa added: “As part of ongoing reforms in the Edo State civil/public service, Governor Godwin Obaseki has appointed Queeneth Orobedo and Ojo Akin-Longe as Permanent Secretaries. The date for their swearing-in will be announced in due course.”
