Senator Ifeanyi Ubah

Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who represented Anambra South district in the National Assembly, has passed away.

Reports indicate that Senator Ubah left Nigeria for the UK two days ago.

The politician and businessman died in a hospital in the United Kingdom, where he had gone for an operation, according to a close family source.

He was set to turn 53 on September 3.

Last year, Ubah switched his political allegiance from the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He was subsequently re-elected into the 10th Senate under the YPP.

The late Senator was preparing to seek the APC’s ticket for the upcoming Anambra State governorship election. A source mentioned that he had made a monetary donation to the Anambra APC just two days ago.

Ubah, who was the CEO of Capital Oil, had previously survived an assassination attempt in September 2022.

His death follows closely after the passing of the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu.
