A former Niger Delta agitator, Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, has congratulated Nuhu Ribadu on his appointment as the National Security Adviser by President Bola Tinubu.
Ribadu, who was earlier appointed as Special Adviser on Security by Tinubu, was on Monday confirmed by the President as the NSA, replacing Babagana Munguno, who was appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Congratulating Ribadu in a full-page publication in the Vanguard Newspaper on Wednesday, Tompolo, who is a former commander of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), thanked Tinubu for appointing Ribadu as the NSA.
He expressed his belief that Ribadu will bring innovations that will drive the security apparatus of the nation to an enviable height.
The message read, “On behalf of my family, friends and associates, I, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, the Ibe-Ebidouwei of ljaw nation rejoice with my brother and friend, Mr Nuhu Ribado, AIG Rtd on your appointment as the National Security Adviser (NSA) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,”

Ribadu is the pioneer Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
