CTP Chairman Tufan Erhürman stated that it is a critical period for the Turkish Cypriot people and stressed that they will stop the trend.

Speaking about the 28th Ordinary Congress of the CTP, which will be held on Sunday, September 4,Tufan Erhürman said, “We are in a critical period for this people.
We are holding our congress in this critical period. In this congress, we will also show that we say stop to this trend. Our goal is for the CTP to come to power alone because it is obvious where this structure is taking us. We will give the sign of these at the congress.”
“WE HAVE TO CONTINUE THE FIGHT FOR PEACE, AFTER THE SOLUTION”
CTP Chairman Tufan Erhürman, who started his speech with September 1, World Peace Day said that wars and conflicts continue in many parts of the world today.
Stating that people continue to die in many parts of the world, Erhürman pointed to the importance of peace. Pointing out that the solution is what is understood when peace is mentioned in Cyprus.
Erhürman said, “We need to continue the struggle for peace, even after the solution. We are talking primarily about the solution.
A solution will also contribute to solving the problems here. It is clearly seen that there is a solution and that the solution of many problems is also motivation.”
Criticizing the “formula of two separate sovereign states,” Tufan Erhürman said, “What do you think sovereignty is in the Federation?
Sovereignty in the Federation is a shared sovereignty, we are faced with a mentality that does not know or ignores this.”
“THIS MENTALITY DON’T HAVE A GALLERY ABOUT THE PUBLIC”
Asking how a solution can be found in front of the United Nations within the framework of “two separate sovereign states,” Erhürman said, “UNSC resolutions are clear. The UN, in its resolution on the Cyprus problem says that the name of the solution is a bi-communal, bi-zonal federation based on political equality.
While the UNSC resolutions are saying this, how will you convince the Greek Cypriot leader in front of the UN to recognize you?
While they are like this, they are trying to explain something so unrealistic to the public as if it were realistic. They also know it won’t happen,” he said.
Emphasizing that Crans-Montana is a pinnacle, Erhürman said, “What we say is very clear. Everything agreed up to Crans-Montana will be accepted as valid, a timetable will be put forward and a result-oriented negotiation process will be started. At the end of a year, this will be over, we will know.”
Erhürman, who argued that the mentality in front of them did not have a problem with the public, criticized the change of 5 chairman of the board of directors in 8 months in Kıb-Tek.

Claiming that it is the misfortune of the Turkish Cypriot people to live with such a government in such a time of crisis, Tufan Erhürman said, “We can’t keep up with explaining the gaffes they made.”
Erhürman described the text called “municipalities reform” as “nonsense.” Stating that the text in question is full of exorbitant errors. Erhürman pointed to the importance of predictability in the rule of law.
Erhürman stated that in addition to the aforementioned situations, they are faced with a government that intends to limit the gatherings and demonstrations.
Erhürman also mentioned that he has not been invited to BRT, the state television, for months. Pointing out that there will be a great chaos in the implementation of the “municipalities reform.”

Pointing out that the purchasing power is decreasing day by day, Erhürman said, “Why doesn’t finance get into trouble? After inflation is gone, the revenues of the finances increase.
It is increasing from those coming from the south. Businesses say ‘we would all have sunk if it weren’t for those coming from the south’.
Demand is shrinking as it shrinks inside,” he said. Stating that the solution proposals are very clear. Erhürman noted that they have said their proposals many times since the election period.
