Mehmet Cheap, the suspect who broke the pinky finger of Ubeyd Demir, with whom he was arguing because of the parking place, in the incident that took place in Nicosia, has been secured.
The suspect Mehmet Cheap, who was arrested for the crimes of “Grave Damage” and “Serious Battering” in Nicosia, was brought before the court again.
Police officer Doğukan Can, who gave sworn testimony in court, reported the facts. The police stated that the suspect Mehmet Cheap, who was present, was accused of “Grave Damage” and “Serious Assault” crimes in Nicosia.
On Sunday September 11, at 10:30 am, a resident M.U in Nicosia, near the business named Levent Börek operating on Bedrettin Demirel street, a public place in Nicosia, battered Ubeyd Demir’s body in Nicosia as a result of an argument over the parking lot.
He stated that after hitting various parts with his hands and dropping him to the ground, M.U inflicted grave and bodily harm on his right hand by stepping on the right hand of Ubeyd Demir, causing the pinky finger of his right hand to break.
The police said that on the same day, Mehmet Cheap was arrested pursuant to a pending order obtained from the Nicosia District Court.
Expressing that the investigation has been completed, Can demanded that the suspect be given a suitable guarantee.
Evaluating the testimony given in his presence, Judge Hazal Hacımulla said that the suspect was banned from going abroad for the purpose of being present at the trial, report to the nearest police station one day a week, a cash guarantee deposit of 15 thousand TL, and bail bonds of 100 thousand TL by two TRNC citizens guarantors.
He ordered that he be tried pending trial, provided that he signed it.
