Participating in the “Stay Healthy” march event, President of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, Deputy Dr. Ahmet Savaşan stated that the event is a valuable event in order to prevent diseases before they occur and to raise awareness about raising the living standard of the society as a result.
Dr. Ahmet Savaşan stated that he aims at social development by keeping the individual healthy and productive.
He pointed out that it is the most important duty of the governments to make the necessary organizations for the individual to lead a healthy life and increase the quality of life from the womb to the end of his life.
“EARLY DIAGNOSIS AND DIAGNOSIS ARE IMPORTANT IN PROTECTING PUBLIC HEALTH”
Pointing out the importance of the studies carried out for a healthy society, for individuals at all ages to lead a healthy life and to protect them from diseases, Dr. Ahmet Savaşan emphasized that public health is directly related to many issues such as early diagnosis, the fight against obesity, diabetes and tobacco, the execution of female reproductive and child-adolescent health services, and the use of clean and healthy water.
“HEALTH PROBLEMS SHOULD BE AVOIDED WITHOUT THE NEED FOR A DOCTOR AND MEDICATION”
Pointing out that the first and most important aim in terms of public health is to protect the health of the society before they get sick, and to prevent people from experiencing health problems with simple precautions without the need for a doctor or medicine.
Ahmet Savaşan said, “To improve environmental health conditions, to increase people’s knowledge about health, to prevent infectious diseases, to provide early diagnosis and preventive treatment of diseases, to prevent relapses in chronic diseases, to provide rehabilitation, to maintain physical and mental health, thus to ensure a long and healthy life is possible through public health studies.
In this regard, important duties fall on our government in general, our ministry of health in particular and of course health workers.
I believe that necessary steps will be taken rapidly in this vital area.”
