Council of ministers establishes council of dignity for pharmacy

The Council of Ministers decided to establish the Court of Honor, which has the authority to issue directives regarding the registration of pharmacists.

The Council of Ministers decided to re-establish the Court of Honor in accordance with Article 11 of the Law on Pharmacy and Poisons, Chapter 254.

MEMBERS OF DIGNITY COUNCIL ARE APPOINTED

According to Chapter 254 Pharmacy and Poisons Law, members of the Council of Dignity with seven members, one of whom has practical legal knowledge and six of whom are pharmacists, were also appointed.

Attorney General Nezhan Kayasal Ertemel, Representative of the Prosecutor’s Office, was appointed as the chairman of the Court of Honor, while Representatives of the Ministry of Health, Expert Pharmacist Serap Konde, Pharmacist Fezile Pehlivan and Pharmacist Gamze Şenol Tekakpınar, Representatives of the Cyprus Turkish Pharmacists Association Pharmacist Zakire Kaleli, Pharmacist Duygu Adahan Kuran and Pharmacist Halit Kavçın were appointed.

The Court of Honor may direct that the name not be registered, after conducting an investigation of any pharmacist or employee convicted of any criminal offense that makes it inappropriate to keep his name on the register.
