Akın Manga invites officials to work on immigration law

Akın Manga, Chairman of Memur-Sen, invited the authorities to work to correct the inequality arising from the Law on Regulating the Monthly (Salary-Wage) and Other Allowances of Public Employees No. 47/2010.

He stated that they met with Hasan Taçoy.

Manga noted that during the meeting, articles that contradict the TRNC Constitution, laws and International Labor Organization (ILO) agreements were submitted to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security in writing.

Akın Manga stated that they propose to resolve the 25 percent gap created between salaries by applying 5.6 percent more HP allowance to those employed under the “Immigration Law” no.

“IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRINCIPLE OF EQUAL PAY FOR EQUAL WORK, WE INVITE AUTHORITIES TO CORRECT THE SUCH OBJECTION”

Stating that Memur-Sen is in favor of preserving the labor peace.

Manga said, “We invite the authorities to work to fix the strangeness in question in accordance with the principle of equal pay for equal work and equal employee rights, and we announce to the public that we will be a persistent follower of the issue.”
