Accomplice to suspect arrested for force abduction, threat of violence arraigned

On July 8, 2022, at 13.00 in Haspolat, the police arrested 52-year-old Faruque Hossan, who was residing in the same place as the resident suspect Rasel Rasel, and who was living in the housing of a workplace operating in the same place with the suspect Mohammad Hafizur Rahman.

After abducting him by forcibly holding his hands and arms and putting the plate and model of the unknown vehicle, he took him to a detached house in Minareliköy, which has not yet been identified, and said to Faruque Hossan, “I will take 16 thousand TL from you, but I will take 32 thousand TL from you. Aydoğanlı said that the incident was reported to the police on 10 July 2022. The police stated that on the same date, the suspect Rasel Rasel was identified by the police teams and sent to prison to stand trial.

The police reported that the suspect Mohammad Hafizur Rahman surrendered to Demirhan Police Station on August 1, 2022 and did not accept the charges.

The police said that the investigation initiated against the suspect had been completed, and demanded that the court be given the appropriate guarantee.

Evaluating the testimony given in his presence, Judge Hazal Hacımulla ordered the suspect to be tried pending trial on the condition that he will be banned from going abroad, appear in person to the police 2 days a week, that 2 credible TRNC citizen guarantors sign a personal surety bond worth 150 thousand TL and deposit 15 thousand TL in cash.
