Violence Suspect Attempts Escaping From Ercan Airport

The suspects Muhammed Tapınç and Hasan Tapınç, who were arrested for the crimes of “grave damage” and “serious assault” in Nicosia, were brought before the court.

Police officer Kemal Erdelhun, who gave sworn testimony in the court, after the suspect Muhammed Tapınç instigated Hasan Tapınç, struck 25-year-old Boris Ndip Takang with his fist in a house in Nicosia.

He said that he had caused him to bleed and inflicted grave bodily harm, where Boris Ndip Takang was abolished the same day. He said that he was taken under observation at Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia and that there was no life-threatening condition.

The police stated that the suspect Muhammed Tapınç was detected and arrested on 16 August while he was trying to escape from Ercan Airport.

The police demanded that the suspects be kept in police custody for 3 days in the first place, since the issue is a serious one and although it is not life-threatening for the complainant to be still in the hospital.

The information received from the doctors was that he was going to undergo an operation and because it was an important operation, it was essential for the suspects to be detained in the police during this process.

Judge Hazal Hacımulla, evaluating the testimony given in his presence, ordered the suspects to be detained in the police for 3 days in the first place.
