Cyprus Turkish Football Federation Sues Ersin Tatar

The Cyprus Turkish Football Federation (KTFF) has brought to justice the remarks of Ersin Tatar, who holds the office of the “President”, against the KTFF and KTFF President Hasan Sertoğlu.

“President Ersin Tatar’s statements are not digestible,” KTFF President Hasan Sertoğlu said, explaining that the trial process started today. Stating that the process will be followed by the KTFF lawyer, Sertoğlu said, “After this time, the word is in the judiciary. We have no problem with the office of the president, but his statements are not digestible. Our lawyer will follow the process. The incident is very clear, the Chairman of the KTFF Board of Directors, whoever signed the unanimous decision, the President called everyone dishonorable.”

As it will be remembered; President Ersin Tatar also brought to justice the statements made by the President of the Turkish Cypriot Football Federation, Hasan Sertoğlu, regarding his participation in the opening of the Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya upon the invitation of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to the statement made by the Salih Can Doratlı Law Office, an application was made to the court against Hasan Sertoğlu on the grounds that “his statements contain insults, constitute a ground and a destiny and are misleading to the public.” In the statement, it was noted that no further explanation would be made due to the transfer of the matter to the judiciary, and that further explanation could be made after the conclusion of the trial.
