Popular Nigerian Singer, Kizz Daniel has apologised to his fans, especially those in Tanzania while promising a free show on Friday.
The “Buga” crooner was billed to perform at Summer Amplified Show, a well-publicised concert at Warehouse, Old Nextdoor Arena, Tanzania on Sunday but failed to show up, leading to his arrest.
In an Instagram Live session with Daddy Freeze after the news of the singer’s arrest by the Tanzanian police went viral, the show promoter, Steve Uwah claimed Vado refused to perform because the luggage containing his other gold chain was not delivered.
According to Uwah, although Kizz had a gold chain on his neck, he refused to perform because the airline had failed to deliver his luggage that contained his other gold chains, insisting he must wear all of it for the show.
However, Kizz Daniel in a press conference after the Nigerian Government secured his release, tendered an unreserved apology to his Tanzanian fans.
He said: “I must apologise to the fans. None of this was intentional. I love my job especially, I love performing. I’m a great entertainer.
“I mean no disrespect to the fans, it wasn’t intentional.
“I want to perform. I came to Tanzania to perform but because of circumstances beyond my power, we couldn’t make it happen.
“I apologise once again to the people of Tanzania and I hope you will give me another chance to give you guys a proper and beautiful show.”
The 28-year-old singer further promised to make up for what happened on Sunday by doing a free show on Friday.
“Regardless of the story, news and press out there, the show will still go on.
“We have reached an agreement to put up a show this Friday and it’s going to be a free show,” Kizz Daniel added.
