Drunk driver causes fatal auto crash in Famagusta

In Famagusta, a drunk driver on Saturday passed into the opposite lane as a result of carelessness, causing an accident.

According to the statement made by the Police Press Officer, the accident that occurred at 14.50, Hasan Kasaboğlu (E-74) on Mustafa Kemal Bulvan, while he was under 225 ml of alcoholic drink, was speeding in the direction of the traffic lights from the direction of the Monument circle with the saloon vehicle with the EM 519 plate.

While he was driving, he passed to the right of the road and crashed into a vehicle with JE 644 plate, driven by Arzu Volkan (K-43), coming from the opposite direction.

The drivers of both vehicles who were injured as a result of the accident were taken under observation in the Emergency Service after their treatment at the Famagusta State Hospital.

The Police investigation continues.
