Lagos SSG calls for synergy in the fight against human trafficking


The Secretary to the Lagos State Government (SSG), Mrs. Folashade Sherrifat Jaji has described human trafficking as a crime against humanity which can only be effectively tackled through effective collaboration amongst stakeholders at all level of society. 

The SSG stated this yesterday, Wednesday 16th, March, 2022 when she received the  Commander,  NAPTIP Lagos Zonal Command, Mrs. Comfort Modupe Agboko and a team of officers  on a working visit to the SSG’s office.

Decrying the exploitation of fellow human beings by traffickers, she commended NAPTIP for  its commitment to effectively executing its mandate of preventing the continuous proliferation of this heinous crime; especially in Lagos state . The SSG assured of her offices contnous collaboration and support.

The Zonal Commander on behalf of the Director General, Dr. Fatima Waziri-Azi, commended Lagos state for its invested interest towards ensuring the safety of the people and the building of a 21st century city.

Expressing gratitude for various supports given to the Command by the state government;  the Commander, appealed for a stronger partnership between  the state and the Agency in order to position the Agency to contribute even more to the building of a safe and thriving state for the people of Lagos state.
