He gave the charge February 10, 2022, while addressing the EFCC CDS Group at the Enugu East LGA, Abakpa.
Oshodi who spoke through the Head of Public Affairs, Mrs Bethel Ude explained that the fight against corruption is not for the EFCC alone. “It is good that you have enlisted into the EFCC CD Group but I want you all to know that the fight against corruption is not just for the EFCC alone. The youth are very important in this noble fight. By being our eyes and our ears in your different places of primary assignments, you will be helping us make Nigeria a better place. For those who are in schools, please allow the students in your schools to get close to you so that you can through your actions influence them to be better and strive to uphold good virtues such as hard work, integrity and diligence.”
Ude decried the get-rich-quick trend among the youths and encouraged members of the EFCC CDS Group to lead the value reorientation campaign through their words and actions.
“It is very unfortunate that young people these days have chosen to follow the fast lane, forgetting that speeding in the wrong direction leads to problems. Imagine young people including teenagers going into cybercrimes and even rituals. I want to encourage you not be discouraged. Always remember that evil can never win over good and that every action has a reward,” she said.
