Immigration Commends EFCC On Tackling Cyber Crimes


Rivers State Comptroller Of Immigration Service, CIS A.J Kwasau has commended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for its consistent and results- yielding efforts in tackling the menace of cyber crimes and other economic and financial crimes.

He gave the commendation on Monday, February 21, 2022 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, while paying a Courtesy Visit to the Port Harcourt’s Zonal Commander of the EFCC, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE Nwanneka Nwokike in his office. Kwasau says that the heat the EFCC is generating to smoke out cyber crimes offenders is yielding good results. ” EFCC has done a commendable job in curtailing cyber crimes and bringing sanity to the country. I must say that the Commission is really doing a good work”, he said.
Kwasau also stressed that ” it is obvious financial crimes are aided by foreign collaborators and it is imperative for the EFCC and the Immigration Service to strengthen and enhance the synergy existing between them”. He called for better and more functional intelligence sharing between the two agencies.
Responding, Nwokike appreciated the Immigration boss’ visit and called for more collaborative engagements ” to grow our nation because Nigeria belongs to all of us and we must work together at all times”.
